Backstory:
Awful Import was conceived in the heart of Minneapolis, Minnesota. The band’s dynamic duo, Jake Greenfield and Erik Lang, were high school friends with a shared passion for music. They started jamming in their parents’ garages, covering songs of their favorite bands. However, the turning point occurred when they decided to experiment with their own sound. They united their unique flavors, Jake’s love for bluesy rock and Erik’s obsession with electronic beats, and thus, Awful Import was born. Their popularity grew on a local level, with their high-energy performances and distinctive sound earning them a loyal fan base. Following their debut album’s release, “Electromagnetic Blues,” their fame skyrocketed, turning them into a national phenomenon.
