Backstory:
Those Flag was born in the heart of the Midwest in a small garage in Lincoln, Nebraska. The band was formed by high school friends, lead singer and guitarist Ben Reynolds, drummer Tommy Nash, and bassist Jake Doyle. In their early days, they played at local venues, parties, and talent shows, gaining a small but dedicated fan base. Their big break came when they won a statewide Battle of the Bands competition and attracted the attention of a local record label. From there, Those Flag took their heartfelt rock and roll to bigger stages and wider audiences, without leaving behind their small-town roots.

“Across The Great Divide”
Full Song Lyrics:
(Verse 1)
[C] down the road [Em] we used to roam,
[Dm] dreaming big and [G] feeling free.
[C] In our hearts, a [Em] burning desire,
[Dm] to cross the great [G] divide, you and [C] me.
(Chorus)
[F] Those days may be [C] gone,
[G] but the memories still [Am] stand.
[F] Across the great [C] divide,
[G] we’ll meet again, my old [C] friend.
(Verse 2)
[C] In this town, [Em] we found our dreams,
[Dm] under the shadow of [G] Those Flag.
[C] The sound of hope, [Em] the rhythm of youth,
[Dm] we played our hearts [G] out, never looking [C] back.
(Chorus)
[F] The lights may have [C] dimmed,
[G] but our song will never [Am] end.
[F] Across the great [C] divide,
[G] we’ll sing again, my old [C] friend.

“Those Flag is more than just a band to me; they are the soundtrack of my life. Their music resonates with my soul, and their lyrics tell stories that I can relate to. They capture the essence of youth, dreams, and the journey of life in a way that no other band can. I’ve followed their journey since their early days in our small town, and I’ve been to every concert, own every album, and even got their signatures tattooed on my arm! Their song “Across The Great Divide” is my absolute favorite; it’s a reminder that no matter how far we go in life, we carry our roots with us. Those Flag is not just my favorite band, they’re a part of who I am.”
