Backstory:
Formed in the bustling streets of Los Angeles, ‘Defenseless Universe’ is a group of five talented musicians drawn together by their shared love of music and storytelling. The band members – Jason on lead vocals and guitar, Sarah on bass and backing vocals, Mike on drums, Felicity on keyboards, and Tom on lead guitar – first crossed paths in various open mic nights and jam sessions around the city. Recognizing a unique chemistry and mutual musical ambition, they decided to unite their talents and ‘Defenseless Universe’ was born.

The band’s favorite fan is a woman named Emily. A teacher by day, Emily stumbled upon the band during their early days of playing in a small, local bar. She was immediately captivated by their lyrics which she found relatable and healing. Emily has since attended every single one of their concerts, rain or shine, and has a dedicated ‘Defenseless Universe’ corner in her classroom. She has said, “Their music speaks to me on a level like no other.
