Backstory:
Born out of the tranquil heartland of Ohio, Modest Stuff is a band formed by childhood friends, Jason Hale (Lead vocalist), Alex Walker (Lead Guitarist), Dennis Cook (Bassist), and Tim O’Neill (Drummer). Knowing each other since their elementary school days, they shared a common love for music and the urge to create something that resonates with people’s hearts. It wasn’t until their high school summer vacation when they decided to form a band. What started as an impromptu jam session in Jason’s garage soon turned into a full-blown band backed by the shared dream of four friends. Fast forward several years, they continue to make music that is as authentic and unique as their friendship.
Despite their humble beginnings, Modest Stuff found their way into the national music scene with their viral debut single, “Rusty Roads” in 2015. Acknowledged for their heartfelt lyrics and raw, impactful sound, their humble ‘garage band’ image quickly captivated a vast audience. They never allowed their sudden fame to change their grounded nature, hence the name Modest Stuff, which reflected their humble beginnings and continued modesty.

Title:
“Solar Eclipse”
Full Lyrics with Chord Progression:
(Verse 1 – Am, G, D, Am)
Under the bright sun, we build our dreams,
Wandered the unknown, and crossed the streams.
Your eyes were mirrors, reflecting the light,
Guiding me through every twist and turn, in the hallowed night.
(Chorus – C, G, Am, F)
Solar eclipse, our shadows align,
In the darkness, your hand in mine.
We are wanderers, lost in time,
In the solar eclipse, your soul intertwines with mine.
(Verse 2 – Am, G, D, Am)
Through the cosmic dance, the moon takes the lead,
Beneath the ghostly light, where our stories bleed.
The sun still shines, hidden from view,
Like our love wrapped in silence, a love so true.
(Chorus – C, G, Am, F)
Solar eclipse, a celestial design,
In the chaos, a peaceful sign.
We are dreamers, chasing the divine,
In the solar eclipse, your star merges with mine.

“I’ve been a fan of Modest Stuff since their early days. Their music is so personal and real; it’s like each song tells a story that resonates with my own experiences. As a person who’s always felt like an outsider, their songs feel like a comforting embrace. They are my favorite band, not just because of their music, but because of the people they are – grounded, genuine, and always staying true to their roots. They’ve shown me that it’s okay to embrace your individuality and find beauty in your own uniqueness.”
