Backstory: Gummy Film was formed in 2003 by college buddies Jack Atwell and Alex Davidson while studying film at the University of Southern California. Jack, an energetic drummer, and Alex, a charismatic lead vocalist, shared a common love for music and filmmaking. They combined their passions for both into a dynamic, multi-sensory project that would soon become Gummy Film. After graduation, they moved to San Francisco, where they met guitarist Emma Li and bassist Max Peterson. The quartet quickly gained a devoted underground following with their unique sound and immersive stage performances, incorporating elements of film into their shows.
