Backstory:
Puzzling Scandal was formed in the heart of downtown Austin, Texas in the humid summer of 2007. It all started when lead singer and guitarist, Caden “Cad” Shepherd, met drummer, Izzy “Zig” McCallister, in a rundown record store, bonding over a shared affinity for vintage vinyls. The duo stumbled upon their bassist, June “Jazz” Knox, at an underground punk rock gig, and immediately knew they’d found the missing piece to their musical puzzle. While their initial meetings were quite random, their shared passion for music wasn’t. They started out performing at local bars, soon capturing the hearts of audiences with their dynamic performances and unique sound.
The band’s journey wasn’t without its trials and tribulations. They went through everything from eviction notices to broken down vans on deserted highways, but nothing could quench their fire. Over time, Puzzling Scandal turned their challenges into musical masterpieces, their story of grit and determination resonating with fans across the globe.
