Backstory:
Born out of the blistering heat of an Arizona summer, Bad Thought originally started as a garage band, consisting of four high school friends: vocalist Chad Jenkins, lead guitarist Ricky Bradley, bassist Chris Zimmerman, and drummer Johnny ‘Sticks’ Wells. Inspired by their shared love for rock music, they started jamming in Zimmerman’s basement, fueled by their desire to escape the small-town life. They played at local bars and school fests, gaining local recognition for their unique sound. The subsequent years saw them battling life’s trials and tribulations, which served as a catalyst for their songwriting process. They epitomized the spirit of rebellion, making music to drown out the noise of life’s struggles, and thus, Bad Thought was born.

Fan Testimonial:
“My name is Lexi Thompson and I’m quite possibly the biggest fan of Bad Thought. Their music speaks to me on a deeply personal level. There’s a rawness, a realness in their lyrics that just hits home. It’s like they know what it’s like to feel lost, to be searching for something more. Their music has been my solace throughout my tumultuous teenage years. When I listen to ‘Desert Mirage’, I feel seen, I feel heard. I can’t imagine a life without their music, without the comfort they unknowingly provide. Bad Thought isn’t just a band for me, they are my lifeline.”
