Backstory:
Green Replacement emerged from a small town in Goddard, Kansas, in 1999. The four lifelong friends – Jake, Matt, Tim, and Sean – had always shared a passion for music and environmental advocacy. Their shared vision of creating music that could spread awareness about environmental issues and inspire change led to the birth of Green Replacement. Their basement jam sessions soon took them to local bars and eventually to national music festivals and global stages. Green Replacement’s dedication to their environmental cause can be seen in their lifestyle as well, as they travel in a solar-powered tour bus and promote recycling at their concerts.
Genre:
Green Replacement is an Alternative Rock band with a strong emphasis on environmental themes.
Title:
“Seed of Change”
Full Song Lyrics:
(Verse)
[C] Once upon a time in a world so blind,
[Am] Ignorance was king, and we closed our minds.
[G] We took for granted, the blue and green,
[D] And turned paradise into a machine.
(Chorus)
[C] But now we sow the seed of change,
[Am] A new world within our range.
[G] Together, we can turn the tide,
[D] Let the earth’s spirit be our guide.
(Verse)
[C] It’s not too late to mend our ways,
[Am] To bring back the sun, the starry haze.
[G] In every heart, let the seed be sown,
[D] This is our planet, our only home.
(Chorus)
[C] So let’s sow the seed of change,
[Am] A future bright, and strange.
[G] With every breath, with every stride,
[D] Let the earth’s spirit be our guide.
(Outro)
[C] We are the green replacement, [Am] the seed of change,
[G] For a world in balance, [D] free and strange.
[C] We have the power, [Am] we hold the key,
[G] To a future for you, [D] and a future for me.

Testimonial:
“There’s just something about Green Replacement that strikes a chord in my heart. Their music is powerful and their message is important. They remind us how essential it is to protect our planet, and they do it through great songs that get stuck in your head. Their music inspires me to make little changes in my life that can help the environment. ‘Seed of Change’ is my personal anthem – it’s a reminder that each one of us has the power to make a difference. I’ve been to every one of their concerts within a 200-mile radius and I’ll keep going. Green Replacement isn’t just a band to me, they’re a movement.”
