Title:

“Highways and Heartbreak”

Full Song Lyrics with Chord Progression:

(Verse 1: A, E, F#m, D)
Along the highways and the byways, I’ve been travelling alone
In my rusty pick-up truck, seeking what I’ve never known
I left my heart with you, darling, in that old town we call home
Now it’s just me and the open road, and a heart that’s prone to roam.

(Chorus: F#m, D, A, E)
Oh, Highways and Heartbreak, you’ve become my fate
Every mile I drive, adds up to the love we used to make
Oh, darling, don’t you see, this ain’t no joyride, it’s an escape
From the love we lost, and the dreams that did forsake.

(Verse 2: A, E, F#m, D)
Underneath the starlit skies, I see your face in the moon
I hear your laughter in the wind, it’s like a hauntingly sweet tune
I thought running away would help, but it’s just a painful boon
In the land of Highways and Heartbreak, where love dies too soon.

(Chorus: F#m, D, A, E)
Oh, Highways and Heartbreak, I’m just a lonely stray
Driving away from yesterday, chasing tomorrow’s grey
Oh, darling, don’t you know, it’s a long, long way
Down the road of Highways and Heartbreak, where love has lost its way.

Fan Testimonial:

“I’m Melissa and I’ve been a fan of Outgoing Rabbit since their high school days. Their music has this unique blend of nostalgia, energy, and raw emotion that just resonates with my soul. Every chord, every lyric seems to tell a story that’s both personal and universal. They make you feel understood, and in a world that often feels chaotic and disconnected, that’s something truly remarkable. Outgoing Rabbit isn’t just my favorite band, they’re my haven, my happy place.”
