Backstory:
Zigzag Sister is a band hailing from the quirky streets of Portland, Oregon. The band consists of four members – lead vocalist and guitarist Kelsey ‘Kels’ Turner, bassist Lucy ‘Loose’ Vinson, drummer Sam ‘Scissors’ Shaw, and keyboardist Ryan ‘Ry’ Mitchell. The band came together in a serendipitous meet-cute at a local record store, where they found they all shared a love for diverse music styles and a passion for heartfelt lyrics. They began jamming together in their respective apartments before moving to a shared garage to hone their craft and create their unique sound. The band’s name is in tribute to Kels’ and Loose’s bond as foster sisters, who navigated their zigzagging life paths to create their own version of family.
