Famous Sofa

Backstory:
‘Famous Sofa’ is a quartet formed in the suburbs of Nottingham, UK in the year 2008. The members, Louis Harriet (lead vocals and rhythm guitar), Mason “Mase” Kelly (drums), Samuel “Sammy” Austin (lead guitar), and Ethan “E” Franklin (bass), were all childhood friends who shared a passion for music. They got their unique name, Famous Sofa, from an old, ratty couch in Sammy’s basement where they would jam and create their music. For them, it served as a symbol of their early days and humble beginnings.

The band started off by playing at local pubs and small music festivals around their town. Their big break came in 2012 when they won a local Battle of the Bands competition and were signed by prominent indie music label, ‘Suburb Sound’.

Title:
“Lazy Sunday Afternoons”

Full Song Lyrics:

[Verse 1]
(G C Em D)
Lazy Sunday afternoons,
on the sofa, playing tunes,
dreaming of a time when we could something more,
oh, this life could be a bore.

[Chorus]
(Em C G D)
But here on the sofa, we are free,
nothing matters just you and me,
In this world of ours, we’ll be famous, you’ll see,
On the sofa, where dreams become reality.

[Verse 2]
(G C Em D)
The clock is ticking, the hours are few,
In this basement, under the hue,
Strumming strings and beating drums,
We’ll make it big, the time has come.

[Chorus]
(Em C G D)
On this sofa, we found our voice,
In this basement, we made our choice,
To shine in the spotlight, under the city’s gleam,
On the sofa, where we built our dream.
