Both Dirt

Backstory:
Both Dirt was conceived in a small town garage in rural Vermont, where long-time friends, Ben Valentine and Toby Ray decided to combine their love for music and environment. Ben, a skilled guitarist, and Toby, an experienced drummer, felt a deep connection with the earth and its elements. They decided to use their music as a tool to vocalize their concern about environmental issues. Thus, Both Dirt was born. They gained local fame by performing at various small-town events and festivals, and their raw and rustic sound resonated with listeners, leading to a growing fan base that soon extended beyond the borders of their home state.

Title:
“Earth’s Lament”

Full Song Lyrics:

(Verses)
A [Em] whisper from the woods, a [G] sigh from the sea,
[D] Cracked earth’s lament, [Am] can’t you hear its plea?

[Em] Rivers of tears, from the [G] mountain’s peak,
[D] Through the barren land, [Am] silence so bleak.

[Em] Stones bear witness, to the [G] wounds of time,
[D] Aching for solace, in a [Am] world that’s kind.

(Chorus)
[C] We are both dirt, [G] you and me,
[D] Born of the earth, in her [Em] mystery.
[C] Listen to her pain, [G] feel her plight,
[D] Sing for her relief, in the [Am] still of the night.

(Repeat Verses and Chorus)
