Backstory:
Silver Depression was formed in the underbelly of Toronto’s bustling music scene in 2010. Their members, all coming from different musical niches, found common ground in their shared fondness for introspective lyrics and atmospheric melodies. Lead singer and lyricist, Jeremey Silver, had been playing at local open mic nights when he crossed paths with guitarist, Daniel Depression. The duo bonded over their shared love for melancholic tunes and decided to create something of their own. They soon recruited bassist, Samantha Star, and drummer, Pete Pulse, to complete their lineup. Despite their band name reflecting the darker side of their music, Silver Depression continues to inspire people with their candid storytelling and intense performances.

Title: “Shadows in the Rain”
Full Song Lyrics:
(Verse 1)
Am G F C
Walking alone, under the darkening sky,
Am G F C
Hearing the whispers of the wind passing by.
Am G F C
Hearts heavy, minds filled with sorrow,
Am G F C
Hoping for sunshine, fearing tomorrow.
(Chorus)
F C G Am
Shadows in the rain, echoes of our pain,
F C G Am
Lost in this game, love’s twisted, wicked game.
(Verse 2)
Am G F C
Eyes holding secrets, dancing in the moonlight,
Am G F C
Chasing illusions, running from the fright.
Am G F C
Tasting the bitterness of every tear,
Am G F C
Wishing for solace, living in fear.
(Chorus)
F C G Am
Shadows in the rain, echoes of our pain,
F C G Am
Lost in this game, love’s twisted, wicked game.
