1. Backstory:

Adolescent Norm is a band made up of four childhood friends hailing from the eclectic streets of Portland, Oregon. The band members – Ethan, Jake, Sammy and Chris, first came together during their high school days when they were just a bunch of awkward teens with a shared passion for music. During their formative years, they were all heavily influenced by the punk rock and grunge culture of the 90s, and this influence was what eventually culminated in the formation of Adolescent Norm. They chose their band name to challenge the norms of the adolescent culture and to express their urge to create an identity of their own.

Adolescent Norm earned their initial fame by performing at local bars and clubs, and gained a loyal following in the Pacific Northwest. Their music, known for its raw energy and authentic lyrics, resonated with their fans who saw their own struggles and triumphs reflected in the songs. The band’s breakthrough came when their song, “Teenage Anarchy,” was featured on a local radio station and caught the attention of a major record label. From there, they catapulted to national fame, while still staying true to their rebellious and raw musical roots.
