Burly Skill

1. Backstory:

Hailing from the rugged landscapes of the Pacific Northwest, the members of Burly Skill came together with one unified purpose: to create music that resonates with the heart and soul. The band was formed in the early 2010s when frontman, Josh “Grit” Sanders, a former lumberjack, met drummer, Liam “Boulder” Thompson, at a local music festival. Sharing a mutual passion for music that embodies their shared experiences in the wild, they decided to band together. They later added bassist, “Stormy” Sam Reynolds and guitarist, Max “Pine” Harrison, resulting in a synergy that created the unique sound of Burly Skill.

Their music is heavily influenced by their rough-around-the-edges lifestyle, steeped in nature, grit, and resilience. With a sound as raw and powerful as the towering pines of their homeland, Burly Skill has cultivated a dedicated fanbase that appreciates their honesty, authenticity, and the sheer musical prowess they bring to each performance.

2. Music Genre:

Their genre is a blend of Alt-Rock and Americana, with hints of folk and blues.

3. Song Title:

“River’s Roar”

4. Full Song Lyrics:

(Verse 1)
In the heart of the timberland, ‘neath the shadowy pine,
There’s a tale in the whisper of the wind, a story that’s mine.
I’ve got the strength of the mountains, got the river’s roar,
I’ve got a heart that’s been tested, but always asks for more.

(Chorus)
I’m the echo in the canyon, I’m the storm’s fierce cry,
I’m a Burly Skill heart, beneath the western sky.
I’ve got the river’s roar, got the wild in my soul,
In the heart of the timberland, where the tall pines grow.

(Verse 2)
There’s a rhythm in the wilderness, a melody so pure,
It’s the song of the mountain man, of that you can be sure.
From the break of dawn, till the setting sun,
With a Burly Skill heart, my day is never done.

(Chorus)
I’m the echo in the canyon, I’m the storm’s fierce cry,
I’m a Burly Skill heart, beneath the western sky.
I’ve got the river’s roar, got the wild in my soul,
In the heart of the timberland, where the tall pines grow.

(Bridge)
In the shadows of the pines, where the wild things roam,
There’s a spirit wild and free, in this place I call home.
In the heart of the timberland, beneath the starry glow,
I’ve got a river’s roar, it’s a tune the wild winds blow.

(Chorus)
I’m the echo in the canyon, I’m the storm’s fierce cry,
I’m a Burly Skill heart, beneath the western sky.
I’ve got the river’s roar, got the wild in my soul,
In the heart of the timberland, this story will be told.
