1. Dearest Crayon is an indie pop ensemble that formed in the quiet town of Ithaca, New York, in 2015. Childhood friends and multi-instrumentalists, Leo Harper and Holly Morrison, found a third accomplice in their college roommate, bassist Sam Green. United by their mutual love for 80s synth pop and 90s grunge, they started creating music that pays homage to these eras while still injecting their own modern twist.
Their first break came when they won a local competition, which lead to their first EP, ‘Rainbow Scribbles’. Their unique ability to blend nostalgia with fresh sounds quickly attracted attention from a broader audience. In 2017, they released their first full-length album, ‘Crayola Dreams’, which received positive reviews and increased their fan base significantly.
