1. Backstory:

Downright Allowance is a four-piece indie rock band that originated in the small town of Monaghan, Ireland, back in 2011. The band members, Collin (vocals and guitar), Rhys (guitar), Finn (bass), and Sean (drums), were high school friends who shared a deep passion for music. They would often come together in Sean’s father’s barn, jamming to their favorite tunes, and eventually, they began writing original music. The band took off after their participation in a local battle of the bands competition, where their unique sound and raw energy caught the attention of an independent record label scout attending the event.

The name Downright Allowance originated from the guys’ devotion to being authentic, embracing imperfections, and allowing themselves to create music that resonates with their experiences and emotions. They believe in the powerful expression of raw emotions in their songs. They’ve toured across Europe and America, gained a significant fan base, released two albums, and are currently working on their third.
