Feminine Side emerged from the heart of San Francisco, California in 2008. The band is an ensemble of four markedly diverse women, each one bringing her unique flavor to the collective sound. Lead vocalist and guitarist, Rachel Smith, a blues rock diva, and Nia James, a soulful keyboardist with a jazz background, initially formed the band as a duo. They were later joined by Maria De La Cruz, a Latin percussionist with a passion for rock, and Emma Sullivan, a classically trained bassist with a penchant for punk.
