Scratchy Colonel

1. Backstory:
Scratchy Colonel, or “S.C” as their fans fondly call them, originated from the eclectic heart of Portland, Oregon. Back in 2012, four college friends – guitarists Vince “Vinnie” Anderson and Sam “Scratchy” Sanders, bassist Emily “Colonel” Collins, and drummer Max “Thumper” Thompson decided to form their own band. They were tired of performing covers in local bars and longed to create their own unique sound. The band’s name was an amalgamation of Scratchy (for Sam’s distinctive guitar style) and Colonel (a nickname Emily earned from her military family background). They started writing their own songs, combining their love for classic rock, blues, and a tinge of indie pop. Their music quickly gained traction, culminating in a series of successful gigs and a loyal following.

2. Music Genre:
Scratchy Colonel identifies itself with Indie Blues Rock, a genre that combines their love for the classic rock-n-roll, the raw emotional depth of blues, and the quirky charm of indie music. Their music feels rustic yet contemporary, appealing to a wide age group.

3. Song Title:
“Blue Denim Dreams”

4. Full Song Lyrics:
(Verse 1)
In a town where the sun never sleeps,
Through the dust, over old concrete,
There I found my blue denim dreams,
In your eyes that softly gleam.

(Chorus)
Blue denim dreams, stitched with golden seams,
In the night, under the stars so bright.
Oh, would you dance with me, in our blue denim dreams?

(Verse 2)
The jukebox plays, our favorite song,
As your laughter rings, all night long.
Barefoot on dirt roads, under the moon’s beams,
We chase after our blue denim dreams.

(Chorus)
Blue denim dreams, stitched with golden seams,
In your arms, there’s no cold, no harm.
Oh, can we sway to the beat, in our blue denim dreams?

(Bridge)
These dreams, like an old pair of jeans,
Worn and torn, yet comforting and warm.
Under the sky’s canopy, in the silent screams,
We find solace, in our blue denim dreams.

(Chorus)
Blue denim dreams, stitched with golden seams,
In this dance, we’ve found our chance.
Oh, let’s spin and twirl, in our blue denim dreams.

(Outro)
As the dawn breaks, on the horizon it gleams,
We’ll hold on to our shared, blue denim dreams.
