Frilly Significance

Backstory:

Frilly Significance came to be in the fall of 2012 in the small coastal town of New Haven, Connecticut. Five childhood friends – Oscar, Dean, Oliver, Ellie, and Jill – discovered they shared a common love for music and began playing together in each other’s garages. For them, music was not only a way to express themselves but also a medium to make sense of the world around them. They gained local recognition for their refreshingly unique sound and thought-provoking lyrics which eventually lead to a record deal.

Inspired by their favorite indie rock bands, the band wanted to create music that was both fun and meaningful. They believed in the significance of the seemingly frilly bits of life, hence the name Frilly Significance. Their music is a celebration of life’s small but meaningful moments and the significance that these can hold.

Full Song Lyrics:

(Verse 1)
Cmaj – Am – Em – G
Underneath the city lights, on cold streets where we reside,
In a world that’s moving fast, we’re just trying to make it last,
Through the concrete jungle’s maze, lost in its captivating haze,
We found a rhythm, found a beat, on the streets under our feet.

(Chorus)
G- D – Em – C
Midnight bridges lit so bright, casting shadows in the night,
Underneath them, we found home, lost in music, found our own.
Urban moment, fleeting fast, moments we wish we could recast,
The city whispers in our ears, the urban love song of the years.

(Verse 2)
Cmaj – Am – Em – G
Through the city’s pulsing veins, we learned about love and pains,
Stories untold, dreams unseen, underneath the city’s sheen.
In each alley, every turn, there’s a story, there’s a burn,
Under the urban starlight gleam, we weave our dreams.

(Chorus)
G- D – Em – C
Midnight bridges, city’s crown, under them, we lay it down,
Urban moment, beats so raw, it’s the city that we saw.

The city sings, we sing along, the urban moment’s timeless song.
