Functional Color

Backstory:

Functional Color was formed on a cold winter’s night in the heart of Toronto, Canada. The founding members, Noah, a brooding tattoo artist with an affinity for the piano, and Madeline, a vivacious redhead who dazzled with her violin, were drawn together by their shared love of music and a mutual desire to express their emotions through it. As the duo evolved into a quartet with the addition of the charismatic bassist, Alex, and the soulful drummer, Victoria, their music also transitioned from intimate acoustic sessions to grand, arena-filling anthems.

The quartet had a humble start, playing in local bars and clubs. Their unique sound, a blend of haunting melodies and poignant lyrics, soon caught the attention of local producers. They released their first self-titled album in 2014, which spawned the hit single “Indigo Tears”. While the road to success has been fraught with challenges and trials, Functional Color remains a band true to their roots, delivering genuine, heartfelt performances at every show.
