Honest Catalogue began as a duo of college roommates, Evan Johnson (vocals, guitar) and Paul Simmons (drums, backing vocals), who bonded over their mutual love for unconventional rock and a shared frustration over the misleading facades of the commercial music industry. Innocent Collar was formed in the heart of Seattle, Washington, during the rise of the indie music scene in the early 2010s. The band initially began as a duo in a dorm room at the University of Washington, where childhood friends, guitarist and vocalist James “Jay” Cutter, and drummer Benjamin “Benny” Lane, started crafting their unique sound.
