Double Ship emerged from the bustling music scene of Toronto, Canada in 2011. Smart Aunt is a band that was formed in the summer of 2001 in the heart of Seattle by four childhood friends: John Martin (lead vocals), Andrew Lee (guitarist), Mike Shaw (bassist) and Steve Jackson (drummer). The group fondly derived its name from John’s eccentric, music-loving aunt, who was their initial inspiration and mentor in the music industry.
