Somber Meat

Backstory:

Somber Meat, a band hailing from the gritty streets of Detroit, found their roots in the underground music scene of the late 2000s. The band’s lead vocalist, Cody Bane, who also doubles as the guitarist, met drummer, Ray “Boom” Carson, in a dimly lit dive bar during an open mic night. They instantly connected over their shared distaste for the squeaky-clean pop music that was dominating the radio at the time. Soon, they recruited bassist, Maddie Stark, from a local record store, and keyboardist, Liam “Keys” Donovan, a washed-up classical pianist, to complete their lineup. Their collective experience and diverse influences soon took shape into something they would call their own.

Facing numerous personal and professional challenges, Somber Meat refused to fade into obscurity. Combating the odds, they pushed through these hurdles, channeling their experiences into their music. Their story is one of endurance and defiance, two qualities they hope to inspire in their listeners.
