Backstory: Difficult Aid emerged from the heartland of Nashville, Tennessee, back in 2008. The band’s origin lies in a chance meeting at a small local bar of two musicians – Jack Lawson, a seasoned blues guitarist, and Sarah McAllister, a country singer with a voice as smooth as Tennessee whiskey. They discovered their shared passion for music and started collaborating. They then added two more members to their ensemble – drum virtuoso Jake Anderson and bass maestro Lucy Belle.
Their initial days were marked by playing in local pubs and performing at small gigs. Their breakthrough came when they were discovered by a music producer at one such gig. The producer was spellbound by the raw emotion their music conveyed and saw potential for a unique sound. Overnight, they went from playing in a local pub to signing a record deal. The band’s unique sound and powerful lyrics quickly garnered them a dedicated fanbase.

Testimonial: Difficult Aid is the soundtrack of my life. Their music has a way of striking a chord, no pun intended, with my emotions, and it makes me feel understood. It’s as if they’ve taken the scattered pieces of my thoughts and strung them together in the form of a beautiful melody. “Whiskey Lullaby,” in particular, resonates with me. It’s a song that brings me solace during difficult times. The way Sarah sings it, it’s like she’s right there with me, sharing my pain. Difficult Aid isn’t just my favorite band; they’re my companions on this journey called life. Their music is the difficult aid I need to get through the tough times.
