Backstory:

Spherical Wheel is a band that was born in the summer of 2009, in the vibrant and artsy city of Austin, Texas. The founding members, vocalist and keyboardist Jack Henderson and guitarist Mike Sullivan, were roommates at the University of Texas, where they both studied music theory. Female Paper, a trio of talented women, came together in the bustling town of Brighton, England. The band consists of Megan Davies, the lead vocalist and guitarist, Emily Shaw, the bassist and backing vocalist, and Sarah Wright, the drummer. Megan and Emily were childhood friends and shared a passion for music. They started their journey playing in local pubs around Brighton. After a brief chat, Sarah was invited to join the band, and thus, Female Paper was formed.

The bandmates, Jake Richards (Lead Guitar), Cody Perkins (Drums), Liam Turner (Bass), and Sam Davis (Vocals) all met in a small town in Oklahoma where they bonded over their love for rock and their mutual lack of success in previous musical ventures. After many late-night jam sessions in Jake’s garage, they decided to form a band – one that would embody their experiences, their failures, and their determination. Hence, Stimulating Failure was brought to life. Not just as a band, but as an emblem of imperfection, resilience, and evolution.
