Backstory:
Exemplary Lizard is a peculiar amalgamation of five college friends – Sam, Tony, Hannah, Dave, and Luna – who met at the University of Arizona. Their shared passion for music and quirky humor led them to form a band in 2010. The name ‘Exemplary Lizard’ was born out of a strange inside joke involving an unusually large and fearless lizard that often frequented their college apartment. Over the years, this eclectic tribe of misfits nurtured their unique sound and energy, taking influence from their diverse musical backgrounds and the vibrant desert landscapes they called home.

As they began to perform at local bars and festivals, their music started to gain attention. In 2015, they released their first EP, stirring intrigue and admiration from listeners and critics. Their chemistry, combined with their genuine love for music, affirmed their commitment to continue on their unexpected journey as Exemplary Lizard.
