Backstory: Both Blade is a band that rose from the lively streets of Brooklyn, New York. The band was formed in 2009 when high school friends, guitarist Braxton Locke and drummer Chase Kendrick decided to make their love for music more than just a hobby. They soon joined forces with vocalist Melissa Harte and bassist Jake Rylance, who shared their passion and vision for music. After a few years of honing their skills and working on their unique sound in various local gigs, their big break came in 2012 when their performance at a local music festival caught the attention of a record label executive.
Genre: Both Blade brings a refreshing blend of alternative rock and indie pop to the music scene. Their sound is characterized by sharp guitar riffs, punchy drums, and Harte’s powerful yet emotive vocals. Their music often explores themes of love, angst, and the struggle of finding oneself amidst the chaotic pace of life.
Title: “Eclipse”
Full Song Lyrics:
(Verse 1)
Em G
Underneath the shadow of an eclipse,
D A
Can you hear our hearts as they skip?
Em G
In the silence of the cosmic dance,
D A
We find ourselves in a trance.
(Chorus)
Em G
When the sun hides behind the moon,
D A
We sing to the rhythm of an unheard tune.
Em G
Underneath the shadow of an eclipse,
D A
We seal our love with a kiss.
(Verse 2)
Em G
In the darkness, our souls collide,
D A
With every beat, with every stride.
Em G
With your hand in mine, we’ll never fall,
D A
Underneath the eclipse, we stand tall.
(Chorus)
Em G
When the sun hides behind the moon,
D A
We dance to the rhythm of an unheard tune.
Em G
Underneath the shadow of an eclipse,
D A
Our love story, a cosmic manuscript.
