Their blend of eclectic sounds and poignant lyrics led them to gain a substantial following in the Pacific Northwest before they exploded onto the national stage with their debut album “Harmonic Dissonance” in 2010.
Genre:
Artistic Magistrate’s music is best described as Indie Rock with a hint of Folk and Blues. Their music is characterized by thought-provoking lyrics, intricate guitar work, and a distinct, soulful voice that resonates with a diverse audience.
Title:
“Brushstrokes of a Mind”
Full Song Lyrics:
(Verse 1 – G Em C D)
In a world that’s painted black and white,
I found a canvas in your eyes so bright.
Lost in layers, hues, and shades,
In your mind’s gallery, my heart invades.
(Chorus – Em C G D)
Brushstrokes of a mind, oh so vivid,
In your thoughts, my soul has lived.
In the canvas of your dreams, I find,
A mirror to the artistry of my mind.
(Verse 2 – G Em C D)
Through the looking glass of your thoughts,
A whole new universe, your mind has brought.
In every shade of your dreams unfurled,
I see the colors of your inner world.
(Chorus – Em C G D)
Brushstrokes of a mind, oh so vivid,
In your thoughts, my soul has lived.
In the canvas of your dreams, I find,
A mirror to the artistry of my mind.

It’s like they’ve taken the raw emotion of life and turned it into poetry set to music. I’ve seen them play live more times than I can count, and their energy and passion are infectious. Their song “Brushstrokes of a Mind” is my absolute favorite — the lyrics speak to me on such a deep level. It’s so distinctive and takes me to a whole other world. Artistic Magistrate isn’t just my favorite band, they’re a part of who I am.”
