Sour Slope

Backstory:

Sour Slope came to life in the small coastal town of Newport, Rhode Island. The four-member band is comprised of childhood friends – lead singer and guitarist, Max ‘Madman’ Harper, bassist, Sam ‘Slap’ Stone, drummer, Andy ‘Ace’ Summers, and keyboardist, Teddy ‘Tickler’ Thomas. United by their shared passion for music, these four young men spent their high school years jamming in each other’s garages, before deciding to take their music to the next level. They moved to Boston after graduating high school to take on the city’s thriving music scene.

Their first few years in the city were fraught with struggle; playing in dive bars, living together in a cramped apartment, and balancing day jobs with music. But their persistence paid off when they were discovered by a record executive at one of their shows. Their unique sound and raw energy quickly gained them a loyal following and soon these four friends from a small town found themselves on the brink of stardom.

“Twisted Echo”

Full Song Lyrics:

(Verse 1)
[G] I walked along the [C] shore last [G] night,
[Em] Conversing with the [C] moonlight,
[G] I found my thoughts were [C] free,
[Em] Like waves in the [C] deep sea.

(Chorus)
[D] Twisted echo, [Em] in my mind,
[C] Remnants of a [G] love left behind,
[D] Can you hear it [Em] calling,
[C] Whispering, stalling, [G] falling.

(Verse 2)
[G] The tide came in, [C] washed my [G] fears,
[Em] As I drowned in [C] my tears,
[G] I left it all [C] there,
[Em] Underneath the [C] moon’s stare.

(Chorus)
[D] Twisted echo, [Em] in my heart,
[C] Memories that [G] tear apart,
[D] Can you hear it [Em] resounding,
[C] Echoing, bounding, [G] surrounding.
