Backstory:
Creepy Credit was formed in 2012 in the bustling, creative city of Austin, Texas. Made up of four friends from high school, the band was born from a shared love of music and a frustration with the modern economic system. The band members, Gary (lead vocals), Steve (guitar), Bob (bass), and Dennis (drums), would spend late nights jamming in their garage, crafting songs that reflected their unique perspectives. After winning a local Battle of the Bands competition, Creepy Credit began to gain traction and quickly became a popular act within the local music scene.
Creepy Credit’s music took a turn when Dennis, the drummer, found himself deep in credit card debt after a series of unfortunate events. This personal crisis ignited a new creative spark within the band. They decided to use their music as a platform to critique the financial institutions and societal norms that they believed led to such situations. Their lyrics became charged with a biting social commentary, and the band adopted a punk sound to match their new rebellious spirit.
