Backstory:

Unwritten Prize is a band birthed from the vibrant music scene of Portland, Oregon. The members met in high school, initially bonding over their shared love for unique music stylings and their disdain for the mainstream music industry. The core members of the band include charismatic frontman Jack “Cobain” Keller, virtuoso guitarist Melvin “Frets” O’Connor, bassist Tommy “Groove” Evans, and drummer Nina “BeatMaker” Perez. After graduating from college, the quartet decided to pursue their passion for music full-time, thus forming Unwritten Prize.

The band’s name reflects their belief that in music and life, the most precious rewards are those that aren’t defined or dictated by society. Unwritten Prize’s journey has been a rollercoaster, from performing at small bars in Portland to rocking stages at major music festivals.
