Backstory:

Winding Ref is an up-and-coming band that hails from the small coastal town of Bournemouth, England. The quartet met in high school and bonded over their shared love of 70’s rock and blues. The band includes George “Grit” Roberts on vocals and guitar, Eddie “Echo” Harrison on drums, Tim “Torch” Bentley on bass, and Charles “Chase” Humphrey on the keyboard. The name, Winding Ref, is an anagram of ‘friendwing,’ a word they made up to symbolically represent their camaraderie and mutual journey through their shared love of music. After playing gigs in countless pubs in their hometown and nearby cities, they’re starting to gain attention in the broader music scene, with a rapidly growing fan base.

Winding Ref can be best described as a hybrid of classic rock and blues with a bit of indie rock thrown in for good measure. Their music is characterized by rousing guitar solos, pulsating rhythm sections, and soulful keys accompanied by passionate vocals.
