Backstory:

“Earnest Painting” is a band that was formed in the bustling city of Brooklyn, New York, in 2013. The band comprises four childhood friends – Alfie (lead vocals and guitar), Charlie (bass), Ellie (keyboard), and Jake (drums). The group had always shared an unconditional love for music, which eventually culminated in the formation of their band during their college years. Their name, “Earnest Painting”, comes from their shared philosophy of creating music that is as genuine and profound as an artist’s earnest painting.

These four friends started by playing in small gigs and open mic nights across Brooklyn before getting their first big break in 2017. Their unique sound and the raw edginess of their lyrics started getting noticed, and they were soon signed by a record label. Their debut album, “Canvas of Sound”, was released in 2018 and received critical acclaim.
