Backstory:
Slow Phenomenon came to life in the college dorms of the University of Maine in the early 2000s. This band, made up of four friends with a shared love for music and creativity, was the product of many late night jam sessions, fueled by caffeine and youthful passion. The members, frontman Jonny Gray, guitarist Chris Stellings, bassist Aaron Whitman, and drummer Sam “Stix” McAllister, spent their college years honing their craft and creating a unique sound, which drew a loyal local following that would travel for hours to see them perform in small town bars and makeshift venues.
After graduating college, the band decided to take a leap of faith and moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career in music. It was not a smooth ride, but their perseverance and determination led to them signing with an independent label in 2010. Their debut album was a hit among the indie-rock audience and critics alike, propelling them to the national stage. Slow Phenomenon continues to charm audiences with their raw, emotional lyrics and distinctive sound.

[Verse]
(C – Am7 – G – F)
Under the black sky, we were chasing a dream

Riding the comet, we’re not coming down
(G – F – Am7 – G)
Across the universe, we’ve found our sound

(C – Am7 – G – F)
Through the stardust, our guitars echo loud
(C – Am7 – G – F)
From the heavens to the crowd
[Chorus]
(G – F – Am7 – G)
Riding the comet, we’re not coming down
(G – F – Am7 – G)
Across the universe, we’ve found our sound

In this cosmic tide, we’ll forever thrive

Riding the comet, we’re not coming down
