Backstory:

Deadly Attention, a five-piece band from the sleepy town of Lansing, Michigan, came together in the basement of lead vocalist Jake Novak’s home in 2011. Jake, along with his high school friends, Sam (lead guitarist), Matt (bassist), Alex (rhythm guitarist), and Andy (drummer), found a common passion for music, a desire to break the monotony of their mundane lives. As teenagers, they battled their insecurities and personal issues through music, which led to the formation of their band.

Deadly Attention gained local fame when they won their very first battle of the bands in 2012. The victory gave them the traction they needed. They started performing at local bars and small music festivals, slowly but steadily expanding their fan base. Their unique combination of raw energy, profound lyrics, and a knack for captivating melodies made them popular among the youth, who related to their music and messages.
