Backstory:
Spry Note was originally formed in the vibrant city of Seattle during the heart of the grunge era. Unlike their contemporaries, the group of high school friends had a different musical inclination, gravitating more towards the upbeat and catchy tunes of pop rock. The band was composed of lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist Sam “Fitz” Fitzgerald, lead guitarist Jackson “Jacks” McCoy, bassist Danny “Dex” Dexter, and drummer Charlie “Chazz” Hunter. They were all childhood friends, sharing a mutual love for music and the rush of performing on stage. From impromptu jam sessions in their parents’ garages, talent shows to local gigs, they found their groove and eventually caught the attention of a local record label.
Their first studio album “Musical Whirlwind” was a significant success, helping them break into the mainstream. Their unique approach to pop rock, blending it with elements of grunge, folk and even a hint of country, resulted in a sound that was both refreshingly new and beautifully nostalgic. Despite the occasional hurdles and the tough competition, Spry Note stayed true to their roots, always putting their passion for music first and foremost.
