Backstory:
Born out of the artistic heart of Brooklyn, Bare Dose is a trio of musicians who started their journey in the summer of 2011. The members include frontman and guitarist Jake McAvoy, bassist Sammy ‘Wilde’ Thompson, and drummer Vince ‘Vinnie’ Greco. They met at a local blues bar’s open mic night and found a common love for music that was raw, unfiltered, and spoke directly to the soul. After endless jamming sessions in Jake’s basement, they decided to form a band, Bare Dose, embodying their philosophy to give their listeners a ‘bare dose’ of their souls through their music.

Title:
“Whiskey and Echoes”
Full Song Lyrics:
(Verse 1: G-C-D)
G
She walks in like a storm,
C
With chaos in her eyes,
D
Whiskey on her lips,
G
Echoes of goodbye.
C
We fell apart, like a house of cards,
D
In the eye of a hurricane,
G
Drowning in a sea of whiskey,
C
Echoes of pain.
(Chorus: Em-C-G-D)
Em
We were just a memory,
C
Lost in the echoes,
G
Fading like the sunset,
D
In the whiskey’s throes.
(Verse 2: G-C-D)
G
We were two lost souls,
C
In the heart of the night,
D
Chasing fading echoes,
G
In the neon light.
C
Her kiss was like whiskey,
D
Strong and bittersweet,
G
Our love was just an echo,
C
In the blues beat.
(Chorus: Em-C-G-D)
Em
We were just a memory,
C
Lost in the echoes,
G
Fading like the sunset,
D
In the whiskey’s throes.
(Bridge: Bm-Em-D)
Bm
Now all I got is whiskey,
Em
And echoes of her laughter,
D
A love that’s lost,
G
In the morning after.
(Chorus: Em-C-G-D)
Em
We were just a memory,
C
Lost in the echoes,
G
Fading like the sunset,
D
In the whiskey’s throes.
G
Now all I got is whiskey,
C
And echoes of goodbye.
