Backstory:
Blissful Diagnosis was birthed from the unlikely union of four medical students from the University of Michigan, whose shared passion for music was discovered during a late-night study session. David Marks, a guitarist and lead singer, initiated the idea of forming a band after hearing the soulful vocals of Sarah Bennett, the band’s pianist. Drummer, Tom Richardson, and bassist, Emily Thompson, were both discovered practicing in the music room, when the strains of their rhythm reached David and Sarah’s ears. Their shared love for music was only second to their dedication to medicine, thus the name ‘Blissful Diagnosis’ was born.
The band began to play small gigs around Ann Arbor, performing at local bars and campus events. Their unique sound quickly gained them popularity among the student body. Upon graduation, the band decided to pursue their passion for music full time, intent on sharing their unique sound with the world. Their journey from the halls of medicinal studies to the energetic stages of live music shows that the heart always finds its path.
