Backstory:
Formed in the heart of San Francisco’s music scene back in 2010, Wonderful Wing was birthed from an eclectic set of musicians, each hailing from a different musical background. The band’s lead singer, Liza St. Vincent, was a classically trained soprano, while guitarist Jim “Jazzman” Jenson was known for his legendary improvisation skills honed in jazz clubs of New Orleans. Completing the trio was drummer Mike “Mondo” Henderson, a self-taught percussionist with a penchant for hard rock.
Their disparate backgrounds led to a fusion of sounds that was unique to say the least. After playing several underground gigs and honing their sound, Wonderful Wing garnered attention from a local radio station. Their music, a delightful blend of various influences, struck a chord with listeners, catapulting Wonderful Wing to fame.
