Backstory:
Lustrous Substance, a band born out of the bohemian streets of San Francisco in 2006, was formed by a group of childhood friends, Jack, Brian, Keith, and Elle. They found their name during a late-night conversation in a bustling coffee shop, when Jack, the band’s vocalist, and lyricist, referred to music as a ‘lustrous substance’ that holds the power to transform and heal. The name resonated with their passion infused with unfiltered emotion, creating music that, like a precious gem, shines even amidst chaos.

They took the city by storm, performing at various local clubs and bars, quickly gaining a reputation for their breathtaking performances. Their music, an intoxicating blend of deep, meaningful lyrics and powerful instrumentals, spoke directly to the heart, earning them a dedicated fan base. The band’s journey from playing to small local crowds to packing out established music venues, however, wasn’t without its fair share of struggles and obstacles, but their passion for their craft and their unbreakable bond saw them through it all.
