Backstory:
Weighty Resource is a group of five friends who were born and raised in the small town of Flagstaff, Arizona. The tight-knit group consists of lead singer and guitarist, Max; bass player, Jack; keyboardist, Lucy; drummer, Ben; and backup vocalist and percussionist, Sam. They all met in high school where they bonded over a shared love of music. From jamming in Ben’s garage, they slowly rose to local fame playing at local bars and restaurants. Their breakthrough came when a talent scout for a music label heard them playing at a local music festival and offered them a recording contract.
The band’s music is inspired by their everyday life experiences, friendships, and the beautiful landscapes of Flagstaff. They use their music to express their thoughts, emotions, and perspectives in an authentic and raw fashion. Despite the attention and fame, they have remained grounded, maintaining their strong friendship and keeping their small-town values at the heart of their music.

(Verse 1: Dm, Am, Bb, F)
(Dm) One more day in this (Am) dusty town,

(Bb) Somewhere beyond that (F) desert floor.
(Chorus: Bb, C, Dm, C)
(Bb) Desert horizon, (C) beneath the blue,
(Dm) I see my dreams (C) reflecting in you.

(Dm) Guide me home (C) beneath the stars.
(Verse 2: Dm, Am, Bb, F)
(Dm) Riding the waves of the (Am) heat mirage,

(Bb) Desert horizon, (C) wide and free,
(Dm) I see myself (C) as I wish to be.
(Bb) Desert horizon, (C) endless and bright,
(Dm) Guide us through (C) the starry night.
