Backstory:
In the heart of a small town in Idaho where the sunsets shimmered gold, the band ‘Tepid Gold’ was formed. The founding members, high school friends Jason, Travis, and Marie were inspired by the authentic rustic charm of their hometown and the cool serenity of their favorite hangout spot; a tepid lake that shimmered gold during the sunset. Their musical journey began with impromptu jam sessions at the lakeside, converging their shared love of music and their bond in a unique blend that was to become their signature sound.
After graduation, they relocated to Los Angeles to pursue their music careers and introduced their childhood friend, Dean, as their lead guitarist. The name ‘Tepid Gold’ was a homage to their humble beginnings and the warmth that their music intended to spread. The band gained modest success with their debut album ‘Idaho Sundown’ but it was their second album ‘Lake Mirrors’ that launched them into stardom.
Genre:
Tepid Gold’s music falls under the genre of Indie Folk Rock with a touch of Country.
