Backstory:
Shy Science was formed in the college town of Cambridge, Massachusetts, back in 2015. The band consists of four friends: vocalist and bassist Sam Hawthorne, drummer Leah Marks, keyboardist Jonah Collins, and guitarist Andy Winters, who all met in a music theory class at MIT. While initially a fun side project to distract from the rigors of their science and engineering programs, Shy Science quickly gained traction in the local scene as a unique and engaging oddity – a group of shy, introverted science student musicians who were anything but reserved when it came to their music. They found a way to weave their academic interests into their lyrics and melodies, creating a unique blend of art and science.

Title:
“Quantum Love”
Full Song Lyrics:
(Verse 1)
Am E G D
In this world of constants and variables,
Am E G D
You and I, as improbable as a miracle,
Am E G D
Just two particles, lost in the subatomic dance,
Am E G D
Together, we found our cosmic chance.
(Chorus)
Am E G D
Quantum love, unpredictable and strange,
Am E G D
In the superposition, everything can change,
Am E G D
Our hearts entangled in a love wave,
Am E G D
This is the reality that we crave.
(Verse 2)
Am E G D
Between the theories and the equations,
Am E G D
We discovered our unique vibrations,
Am E G D
Creating harmony amidst the chaos and the noise,
Am E G D
Our love is a science, not just a choice.
(Chorus)
Am E G D
Quantum love, unpredictable and strange,
Am E G D
In the superposition, everything can change,
Am E G D
Our hearts entangled in a love wave,
Am E G D
This is the reality that we crave.

Why and how Shy Science is her Favorite band:
“Shy Science is more than just a band to me. They have this unique ability to blend music, science, and emotion in such an amazing way. Their music doesn’t just sound good, it makes you think, it makes you feel. As a Physics undergraduate, I connect with their lyrics on a different level. It’s like they’re singing out equations and theories that I study, but in the most beautiful, relatable way possible. I’ve never felt more seen and understood by a band. Shy Science isn’t just a band, they’re my tribe.”
