Backstory:
Awkward Novel is a unique blend of four childhood friends who grew up in the heart of London’s music scene. They first met in a local library, where they bonded over their shared love of reading and music. Initially, they were just a group of friends sharing music and book recommendations, until they decided to form a band during their last year of high school.
The band’s name, Awkward Novel, was inspired by their shared love of unusual and offbeat books that didn’t fit the typical mold. Just like these novels, their music also started out as an unusual mix of sounds and ideas that felt awkward at first but eventually evolved into something beautiful and unique. The band members include lead vocalist and guitarist Harry, bassist Julian, drummer Edward, and keyboardist and backing vocalist Simon.
