Jagged Hat

Backstory:
Jagged Hat was formed in a small town in Montana in 2009, through the chance meeting of childhood friends Jonny ‘Jazz’ Rash and Susan ‘Sue’ Gravelson at their high school reunion. Both had been passionate music enthusiasts growing up, with Jazz being a self-taught drummer and Sue having a knack for playing the guitar. Despite taking different paths after graduation, their reunion sparked an idea – to form a band. Pairing up with Billy ‘Bassman’ Riggins and Terry ‘T-Rex’ Kramer, who wielded the bass and keyboard respectively, Jagged Hat was born.

Their journey started off in a dusty old garage, filled with the echoes of their instrumental harmonies and vocal experiments. They spent countless hours perfecting their sound, fueled by their shared love for music and a mutual understanding of each other’s unique styles. Over time, they developed a distinct sound, gaining traction in their local scene and eventually securing a record deal in 2014.

Genre:
Jagged Hat identifies themselves as a folk-rock band, interspersed with elements of country and blues. They pride themselves on intertwining their rural roots with contemporary rock elements to create a unique and charismatic sound.
