Backstory:
Frilly Statement was born out of an eccentric art school in the heart of London in 2012. The band comprised of four college mates – Lizzy on vocals, Pete on guitar, Emma on drums, and Mark on the bass. Their shared passion for art, fashion, and music soon led them into a world of creative exploration, where they began to blend their love for vibrant aesthetics and soul-stirring sounds. Each one brought a unique style to the table, and soon, they found their groove, creating music that was as visually captivating as it was audibly.
Their music and style grew in popularity within the art school community and then slowly spread across the city’s underground music scene. Their performances were a wild blend of fashion theatrics and pulsating tunes, which won them a loyal fan base. With Lizzy’s potent voice, Pete’s edgy guitar skills, Emma’s lively beats, and Mark’s deep bass undertones, their music became an anthem for the youth, expressing their feelings, thoughts, and the freedom to make a statement.

Title:
“Painted Love”
Song Lyrics:
(Verse)
Am G F
Walls of heartache, canvases bare,
Am G F
Yearning for colors, in monochrome despair.
(Chorus)
C G Am
Painted love, in hues of you and me,
C G F
Wrapped in folds of frilly poetry.
(Verse)
Am G F
Sketches of laughter, drawn by your gaze,
Am G F
In the gallery of memories, lost in a haze.
(Chorus)
C G Am
Painted love, a portrait of our reverie,
C G F
On the canvas of life, our beautiful symphony.
Fan Testimonial:
“My name is George, and I’ve been a fan of Frilly Statement since their first gig in our college. What they do is more than just music – it’s a sensory experience. Their music isn’t just heard, it’s felt. It resonates with my own thoughts and feelings. It’s like they’ve found a way to articulate the emotions we often struggle to express. Being a part of their journey, witnessing their growth, it’s been surreal. They’ve become more than just my favorite band, they’re a part of who I am.”
