Backstory:
Miserly Throne was born out of the gloomy streets of Manchester, England, in 2011. The band was founded by three childhood friends: vocalist and guitarist, Arthur Steele; bassist, Owen Blackwood; and drummer, Lucas Hennig. They started out playing in basements and garages, fueled by their passion for music and a shared dream of making it big. A chance encounter with renowned record producer, Ian Rogers, at a small pub gig was the turning point they needed. Impressed by their raw talent and unique sound, Rogers signed them to his indie label, providing them with the platform they needed to start their journey to stardom.
Always maintaining their authenticity, Miserly Throne’s music is deeply rooted in their gritty, working-class background. Their lyrics often discuss themes of struggle, ambition, and the harsh realities of life, resonating with fans worldwide. Today, Miserly Throne stands as one of the most influential rock bands of the decade, always pushing the boundaries of their genre.

Title:
“Jester’s Crown”
Full Song Lyrics:
[Verse 1]
Am (C) On a dreary day, in a land of gray
G (D) I found myself, in a jester’s play
E (Am) The king did laugh, at my foolish crown
D (E) I, in my misery, I was the town’s clown
[Chorus]
Am (G) Jester’s Crown, heavy with my frown
D (E) In my tears, I think I’ll drown
Am (C) I’m just a fool, on the miserly throne
G (D) In my despair, I’m utterly alone
[Verse 2]
Am (C) The throne is cold, the court is cruel
G (D) In their laughter, I am the fool
E (Am) The king is pleased, as I fall on my knee
D (E) In this kingdom of misery, will I ever be free?
[Chorus]
Am (G) Jester’s Crown, heavy with my frown
D (E) In my tears, I think I’ll drown
Am (C) I’m just a fool, on the miserly throne
G (D) In my despair, I’m utterly alone
Band’s favorite fan:
The band’s favorite fan is a young man named Liam Gallagher. Miserly Throne is his favorite band because their music speaks to him on a deeper level, as if their lyrics are pages ripped out of his own diary. As he testifies, “Miserly Throne has a song for every mood, every situation. Their music has been my companion through my toughest times, pulling me back from the edge more times than I can count. It’s hard to explain, but their songs just… get me.” Over time, Liam became a familiar face at their gigs and grew close to the band, even landing a job as their tour manager.
