Another Van

Backstory:

Another Van began as a common story: four high school friends with a shared love for rock and an old garage. The band was born in the small coastal town of Monterey, California where lead singer, Robby Daniels, inherited his uncle’s rusty van. They’d pile into that old van, nicknamed “Another Van” because of its uncanny resemblance to their favorite band’s tour vehicle, and explore the open roads driving along the Californian coastline. They began writing songs inspired by the landscapes they saw, the people they met, and the joys and heartbreaks of their own lives. The name stuck, and so did the band, rising as a comet from the local dive bar scene to the national spotlight.

The band’s members include Robby Daniels (lead vocals, rhythm guitar), Jake “Fret” Ford (lead guitar), Charlie “Thunk” Thompson (bass), and Nick “Sticks” Harrison (drums). They’ve been best friends since their elementary school days, and their deep bond is palpable in their electrifying performances and tight-knit harmonies.

Title:

“Echoes in the Fog”

Lyrics:

(Verse 1)
Dm G
Driving down the coastline, under the setting sun,
F Am
Memories of you and I, twinkling on the run.
Dm G
Rusty wheels turning, carrying us too far,
F Am
Our dreams were burning, brighter than any star.

(Chorus)
C Am
Echoes in the fog, whispers on the wind,
Dm G
Remind me of your love, a game I couldn’t win.
C Am
The road goes on forever, our song will never end,
Dm G
Echoes in the fog, bring me back again.

(Verse 2)
Dm G
The salty air, your tangled hair, I still can taste your kiss,
F Am
In that old van, we made a plan, but plans often amiss.
Dm G
I chase your shadow, in every town, in every bar,
F Am
Your memory is a silence I can’t mar.

(Chorus)
C Am
Echoes in the fog, whispers on the wind,
Dm G
Remind me of your love, a game I couldn’t win.
C Am
The road goes on forever, our song will never end,
Dm G
Echoes in the fog, bring me back again.

The lyrics, the melodies, the soul-stirring performances, particularly ‘Echoes in the Fog,’ truly resonate with my experiences.
