Backstory: Digital Convention is a unique band formed in 2010 in the heart of Silicon Valley, by four tech-enthusiasts turned musicians: lead vocalist and coder Jake “Java” Benson, bassist and graphic designer Sofia “Pixel” Alvarez, drummer and software engineer Ted “Tera” Watson, and guitar-playing hardware specialist Sam “Silicon” Clarke. Inspired by their shared passion for technology and music, the quartet began creating songs that captured the essence of the digital age.

They started performing at local tech events and soon gained a cult following amongst the tech community. Their breakthrough came in 2014, when their debut album “Byte Rhythm” went viral on a popular coding forum. Since then, Digital Convention has played at major tech conferences worldwide, blending their love for technology and music across boundaries.
